Save iOS 6.1.2 SHSH Blobs with TinyUmbrella

Save iOS 6.1.2 SHSH Blobs with TinyUmbrella, Notcom tweeted few minutes ago that TinyUmbrella has been upgraded to version 6.12.00 with the support for iOS 6.1.2 firmware. iOS 6.1.2 is the latest firmware update from apple released not more than a week ago. When iOS 6.1.2 is fully untethered jailbreakable using Evasion 1.5, iOS 6.1.3 the upcoming update for iOS will not support evasion jailbreak.

For those who don’t know Tinyumbrella is a unique jailbreak software that don’t actually jailbreak your device or iOS IPSW firmware, but can save your current iOS SHSH Blobs, the SHSH blobs can be used for future downgrading. If you upgrade to a new iOS version for which jailbreak is not available or you personally don’t like it, your only possible downgrade option is using these SHSH Blobs. SHSH Blobs are unique for each device, which means you cannot use Blobs from your friend to downgrade your device. Since iOS 6.1.3 is right around the corner and jailbreak community has already cleared that iOS 6.1.3 may not support evasi0n, the best thing to do now is save your SHSH blobs. We understand that many of us will directly or indirectly and¬†accidentally¬†will upgrade to the latest version, so as a precuation measure save your SHSH blobs right away.

On the other story you can Check the option request SHSH from cydia, if you have jailbroken your device in the past and used Cydia on it, there is great chance that Cydia might have saved SHSH blobs for your devices for each iOS you have jailbroken on your device in the past, if these SHSH blobs exists in the cydia server checking this box and clicking on Save SHSH Blobs will get them downloaded for you to use.

that’s all for this tutorial, for any issues leave us a comment below and don’t forget to share the story.

  1. Can I use my broken iPod blobs saved, or do I have to have a fresh restore before I save them? Jus curious?

  2. From what I understand – you can’t downgrade or restore a new iDevice even with SHSH blobs (as per the saruk note “as of February 21….”). Is it worth it to Restore from 6.1.1 to 6.1.2 and re jailbreak just to save blobs that can’t work anyway?

    • You can use the SHSH blobs to downgrade on older iDevices but ya new iDevices can’t be used with saved SHSH blobs but it is always a good practice to keep them saved, as saurik mentions a downgrade procedure or program may come out in the future. Since there is not much difference between iOS 6.1.1 and iOS 6.1.2 you can just save SHSH for iOS 6.1.1 firmware.

I have SHSH saved for IOS 6.1.2 , my iphone is now in recovery mode and itunes is asking for upgrade and restore to IOS 6.1.3,so how can i now keep my iphone on 6.1.2?

  4. I was finally convinced that it was worth it to upgrade from a jailbroken, factory unlocked 5.1.1 on my iPhone 4 & 4S but today I found 6.1.3 waiting in iTunes. OOPS. I have an iPhone 4 on 6.1.2. Can I save that SHSH and use it on another iPhone 4 and my 4S?

    • SHSH blobs are unique to each device, sorry you wont be able to use on other devices And don’t upgrade to iOS 6.1.3, evasion won’t work. (As of Now).
